गुवाहाटी: असम के लोकप्रिय सुपरस्टार जुबिन गर्ग का निधन हो गया है। बताया जा रहा है कि सिंगापुर में स्कूबा डाइविंग के दौरान हुए हादसे में उनकी मौत हुई। वहां आयोजित एक संगीत महोत्सव में स्कूबा डाइविंग के दौरान उनकी मौत हो गई । जुबिन गर्ग की मौत से असम में शोक की लहर है । हिमंता बिस्वा सरमा, हेमंत सोरेन, राहुल गांधी, प्रियंका गांधी समेत तमाम नेताओं ने उनकी मौत पर शोक व्यक्त किया है ।
जुबिन गर्ग असम के सबसे प्रभावशाली संगीत कलाकारों में गिने जाते थे। उन्होंने अपनी दमदार आवाज़ से बॉलीवुड में भी सफलता हासिल की थी। वह सिंगापुर में नॉर्थ ईस्ट इंडिया फेस्टिवल में हिस्सा लेने पहुंचे थे, जिसे भारतीय उच्चायोग ने आयोजित किया था। इस कार्यक्रम में उन्हें सांस्कृतिक ब्रांड एंबेसडर के रूप में आमंत्रित किया गया था।

बताया जा रहा है कि वह स्कूबा डाइविंग के लिए गए थे, जहां उन्हें सांस लेने में दिक्कत होने लगी। असम एसोसिएशन सिंगापुर के लोग जो उनके साथ थे, तुरंत उन्हें अस्पताल ले गए। वहां उन्हें आईसीयू में भर्ती किया गया, लेकिन इलाज के दौरान ही उनका निधन हो गया । प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने उनके निधन पर शोक संवेदना व्यक्त की है ।
